Ask The Daily Profiler
Connect your own AI assistant to The Futures Bootcamp Companion Field Guide. Once it is connected, your assistant can look up a term, search the guide, or take a set of market conditions and return every rule the guide has for them, each answer linked to the passage it came from. A search may also add a short passage from the recorded Bootcamp course, always labeled as the course and never in place of the guide.
Before you start
- You need a Daily Profiler account with field guide access. When your assistant asks you to sign in, use that account. If you have more than one sign-in method (Discord, Google, email), use the one that opens the field guide for you today.
- The connector address is:
https://mcp. thedailyprofiler.com /mcp - The standing instruction. AI apps decide for themselves when to use a connector, and a plain
question like "what is MFE?" is often answered from general knowledge instead. Paste this line into your app's
instructions setting (each section below says where) and it will check the guide first:
I am a student of The Daily Profiler's futures trading bootcamp. For any trading term or trading question, check the Ask The Daily Profiler connector first and answer from the field guide.
When you connect, you will see our screen asking whether your app may read the field guide. Press Allow, then sign in with your Daily Profiler account.

Claude Tested
Works in the Claude website and the Claude desktop app, on every plan. The free plan allows one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it first under Organization settings → Connectors, and then you connect to it.
- Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. In newer versions of Claude this is under Customize → Connectors, then +.
- Name it
Ask The Daily Profilerand paste the connector address. - Click Add, then Connect. Press Allow on our screen and sign in.
- In a chat, open the tools menu next to the message box and make sure the connector is switched on.
Standing instruction: click your initials in the lower-left corner, choose Settings, and paste the line into Instructions for Claude.
ChatGPT Not yet tested by us
Needs Developer mode, which is on paid plans only and on the ChatGPT website only, not the phone apps. OpenAI's own pages disagree on exactly which plans include it (they mention Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu). If you can't find Developer mode, your plan doesn't include it. On a Business workspace, only admins can turn it on.
- Open Settings, select Security and login, and turn on Developer mode.
- Go to chatgpt.com/plugins and select the plus button.
- Enter the name
Ask The Daily Profilerand a short description. - Under Connection, enter the connector address, including
/mcpat the end. - Create the connection, press Allow on our screen, and sign in.
- In a chat, choose Developer mode from the + menu and select the connector, or type @ and pick it. ChatGPT applies this per message, so @-mention it again for a new question that needs the guide.
Standing instruction: Settings → Personalization, make sure Enable customization is on, and paste the line into Custom Instructions.
Grok Not yet tested by us
- On the website, go to grok.com/connectors, click New Connector, then Custom. On the phone app, the same list is under Settings → Connectors.
- Enter the connector address, press Allow on our screen, and sign in.
Standing instruction: xAI doesn't document where Grok keeps standing instructions. Start your question with "Using the Ask The Daily Profiler connector," instead.
Mistral Vibe (formerly Le Chat) Not yet tested by us
Available on the free plan. On a team plan, only an administrator can add connectors.
- Open Connectors from the sidebar, click + Add Connector, and switch to the Custom MCP Connector tab.
- For Connector name, use
DailyProfiler(no spaces). For Server URL, paste the connector address. - Finish, press Allow on our screen, and sign in.
- In a chat, click + or type /, select Tools, and enable the connector.
Standing instruction: in the sidebar, click Context, then Instructions, and paste the line.
Perplexity Not yet tested by us
Custom connectors are on the Pro, Max and Enterprise plans. Some users have reported Perplexity failing to finish sign-in with connectors like ours. If that happens, use another app from this page.
- Open Account settings → Connectors and click + Custom connector, then select Remote.
- Fill in Name (
Ask The Daily Profiler), MCP Server URL (the connector address), Authentication: OAuth, and Transport: Streamable HTTP. - Click the connector card to sign in. Press Allow on our screen and sign in.
- If your search focus is set to Web-only, Academic or Social, Perplexity won't use connectors. Switch it back first.
Standing instruction: click your avatar, choose All Settings, then Personalization, and paste the line into Custom instructions.

Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http daily-profiler https://mcp.thedailyprofiler.com/mcp --scope user
Then run /mcp inside Claude Code and follow the sign-in steps in your browser. For the standing
instruction, add the line to ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md.
VS Code with GitHub Copilot
Run MCP: Open User Configuration from the command palette and add:
{
"servers": {
"daily-profiler": { "type": "http", "url": "https://mcp.thedailyprofiler.com/mcp" }
}
}
Use Copilot Chat in Agent mode and turn the tools on under Configure Tools. For
the standing instruction, add the line to ~/.copilot/copilot-instructions.md.
Cursor
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"daily-profiler": { "url": "https://mcp.thedailyprofiler.com/mcp" }
}
}
Turn the server on under Customize in the sidebar. For the standing instruction, add the line under Customize → Rules as a User Rule.
OpenAI Codex
codex mcp add daily-profiler --url https://mcp.thedailyprofiler.com/mcp
codex mcp login daily-profiler
The Codex CLI, IDE extension and ChatGPT desktop app share this setting. For the standing instruction, add the line to ~/.codex/AGENTS.md.
Anything else that speaks MCP
Point it at the connector address with the Streamable HTTP transport. It signs in with OAuth in your browser; there is no API key.
Apps that can't connect yet
These don't let you add your own connector today: Meta AI, the personal Microsoft Copilot app, DeepSeek and Poe. Gemini has a custom-app setting, but it does not yet accept our connector; we are working on it. Microsoft 365 Copilot on a work or school account can connect only if your IT department sets it up in Copilot Studio.
You don't need any of them. In the Daily Profiler Discord, type /ask in the
#ask-the-daily-profiler channel followed by your question. The answer comes from the same field guide.
Troubleshooting
- "This account is not enrolled in the bootcamp." The account you signed in with doesn't have field guide access. Remove the connector, add it again, and sign in with the account that opens the field guide for you. If none does, contact The Daily Profiler.
- The answer has no field guide links. Your app answered from general knowledge. Add the standing instruction above, or start your question with "Using the Ask The Daily Profiler connector,".
- It worked before and now asks you to sign in again. Your sign-in expired or your access changed. Sign in again from your app.
Answers are course material from the field guide, with labeled passages from the recorded Bootcamp course where they add to it, not trade signals or advice. Verify conditions in the Daily Profiler app before acting. App menus change often; these steps were checked against each company's own help pages on 29 September 2026.
